Laura Berent - E-Commerce Merchandiser/Member of the Style Team
"I am a 2008 graduate of Central Michigan University with a major in apparel merchandising and design, and a minor in art. During my time at CMU, I designed two collections for the CMU Apparel Merchandising and Design program's annual fashion show. Since beginning with DFP approximately a year ago, I have helped produce fashion shows and I currently manage the DFP boutique. In the near future I aspire to own a young contemporary boutique that sells both my own designs and other rtw brands. My personal style depends on the day because I like to try it all! I love to wear prints, and accessories are a MUST. I have to admit funky tennis shoes are my weakness! "

Sherma Brown - Special Events

Sheryl Coonan - Member of the Style Team
"I am a communications graduate from Central Michigan University. I have experience as an intern at US Weekly Magazine, as well as researching and writing for various women and business publications. Though my biggest fashion inspirations include dynamic style icons Rachel Zoe and Gwen Stefani, my own personal style tends to be more subdued and classic – always a fan of the color black paired with pieces that pop. A city girl at heart, I hope to continue to write and talk about the latest fashion trends and one day take on personal styling."

Shelby Davis - Member of the Style Team
"I currently attend Schoolcraft College and will be transferring to Columbia College-Chicago next Fall. My major will be Arts, Entertainment and Media Management. I began working with DFP approximately a year ago. I have been a volunteer for Detroit Fashion Week for two years. I interned at designer, Alberta Ferretti, in New York City this past summer. I aspire to be a celebrity stylist or costume designer for TV and film. My favorite designer is Vivienne Westwood and I absolutely adore Patricia Field. My personal style is very feminine and edgy. Lately I've been trying to experiment with a bit of 50's 60's inspired vintage wear."

"I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism. I am an aspiring fashion journalist. I was heavily involved in fashion shows held at BGSU and also wrote fashion articles for various publications on campus. I love writing about the latest trends and interviewing amazing fashion designers. My personal style is simply fabulous! Whenever I walk into the room, I demand attention. I have a SERIOUS jewelry fetish. And I am the lip gloss queen. I never leave the house without it."

"I am a recent graduate from Wayne State University with a B.A. in journalism. I wouldn't consider myself a fashionista, I am more of a mood dresser. I wear fashions that fit my mood for that day.I would describe my style as classy, sophisticated and sometimes 'sassy'."

Brandon Morris - Art Director

Shannon Murphy - Member of the Style Team
"Fashion has always been a huge part of my life! I believe fashion is so much more then just the clothes you wear; it is an expression of who you are. I received my Business degree from Eastern Michigan University. My major was marketing with a minor in textile merchandising. I have traveled to New York and Italy doing fashion/advertising internships. I have freelanced for many different fashion events. I would describe my style as fashion forward with a little edge. I love to try out the latest looks. I am not going to lie though, comfort is a huge factor for me. Yoga pants are a must for evenings at home!"

Glen  Palmer - Member of the Style Team
"While some attend prestigious powerhouse schools to gain a sense of fashion, style and poise, I am a gentleman who has an innate sense of what looks good on today's man. The Sartorial Everyman, I have constructed a style ideology that reflects both classic and timeless sensibilities; while embracing modern interpretations. I created The Gentlemen's Standard blog to usher in a sartorial renaissance for the well dressed and distinguished urban gentleman. In the near future, I aspire to open a business that not only sartorially educates; but also offers affordable & elegant clothing to add to a gent's blossoming wardrobe."

Raquel  Parks - Member of the Style Team
"Ever since I was a little girl I’ve loved to write and have always been a fashion fanatic. So it only seems natural that I enjoy writing about fashion. I am a graduate of The University of Michigan with a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism. Prior to joining DFP, I interned for Ambassador Magazine and Detroit Free Press’ StyleLine Magazine. I assisted on photo shoots and wrote about the latest fashion trends and local events. I have also written several news and human interest stories for Dearborn Press & Guide. My style is best described as classy, feminine, and unique. I believe accessorizing is key to making any great outfit complete!"

Asia  Willis - Fashion Journalist
"From an early age, I was captivated with fashion while immersed in Seventeen and Teen magazines. Since August 2007, I covered an array of events including; New York Fashion Week, Detroit Fashion Week, the North American International Auto Show Charity Preview, Urban Wheel Awards and BravoBravo. With a journalism degree from Wayne State University, I interviewed celebrities such as; Nick Cannon, Gabrielle Union and Young Jeezy. As for my personal style, I love vintage with a hint of girly glam with a strong fondness towards Betsey Johnson. In the next five years, I hope to be living in Los Angeles pursuing a career at a fashion public relations firm or living in New York writing for Harper's Bazaar magazine."
