A Day of Health

This event, with over 2,500 attendees expected, will start with Breakfast, free health screenings, exhibits and vendors. There will be a morning workout led by Detroit’s own and 1990 Miss. USA Carole Gist-Stramler.

 

 

The day will continue with panel discussions on mental wellness and building healthy families. The series of workshops will cover topics such as, obesity, oral health, chronic disease, integrative approaches to health and oral health. Lunch will be served along with cooking demonstrations. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive free giveaways and one lucky winner will receive two tickets to the taping of the 2009 BET Celebration of Gospel in December. The day will end with a performance by Deborah Cox. The Mistress of Ceremony is Vickie Winans.
