Laser Comb for Hair Loss
Posted: 8/24/2009

The concept of the comb started in Sydney, Australia through a visit to a hair loss clinic. In 1999, David Michael noticed his hair was thinning and was referred by his family physician to see about treatments. From this experience, David’s hair loss stopped with laser therapy and he experienced remarkable hair re-growth.  Due to his exciting results, he developed a prototype of the world’s first handheld laser device for hair re-growth. In 2007, the HairMax LaserComb was cleared by the FDA for the treatment of male adrogenetic alopecia.

The HairMax works at the root level of the scalp converting light energy to cellular energy which stimulates the growth of individual hair follicles. As the hair follicle rejuvenates and becomes stronger, it produces thicker and healthier hair. Although results vary from person to person, changes are noticeable within 8-12 week.
