Bravo Bravo Event: What Men Should Wear
Posted: 5/19/2009

What style icon can the gentleman draw studied inspiration from? For starters, he should imagine Fred Astaire, Duke Ellington, and Louis Armstrong. Dapper presentation complete with sophisticated confidence & swagger. A jazzy feel while maintaining an authoratative presence.

Now, if you want to walk with a swagger like Jelly Roll Morton with a contemporary feel; look no further than the likes of John Legend or Robin Thicke. Slim silhouettes encompassed by three piece suits punctuated with vibrant color. Ozwald Boateng is a master at deftly coordinating splashes of color to dramatic effect. Trim suits follow the natural lines of the body for a perfect fit. Make sure your trousers have a sharp crease, your suit lapels are gracefully peaked, and your shoes are on point.

Did you say shoes? Your outfit would not be complete without some clean spectator oxfords. These two tone footwear adds a little flavor to a serious look. The gentleman is certainly not done by a long shot. He must accessorize to capture the spirit of a Jazz Age Sophisticate. The impeccable fedora. Pocket square bursting with color. Lively hosiery peeking from underneath the trouser cuff. Turning up the dandy just a notch, the gentleman can even sport a fresh carnation in addition to his pocket square!
