Tanning Before The Wedding: What every bride should know
Want to be tan for your wedding without having to dedicate lots of time going tanning for the weeks before your wedding? Getting an airbrushed tan is a great option for people who want a quick even natural looking tan for a special event. Over at the family owned Bulb Tanning Salon in Warren they have a passion for tanning and a wealth of knowledge about tanning. They can help you figure out the best way to get tan based on your skin tone and needs the smart way. Detroit Fashion Pages talked to airbrushing Guru Jessica Boyke and her family of smart tanners about how to get the best looking tan for your wedding. The Blub Tanning Salon offers many options when it comes to tanning: The Beds (Hi-Pressure, Mega, UV –Free) – Tanning beds offer other benefits aside from a great tan. They help fight psoriasis and seasonal depression. They help you produce vitamin D. It’s also a controlled atmosphere which helps prevent burning. You do however need to go regularly to maintain your tan. The Solar Shower – The Solar Shower sprays your body with a self tanning agent called DHA to give you a nice color quickly. The Solar Shower offers more privacy as opposed to airbrushing which is sprayed on by a trained professional which also means less control over how you rub in the solution. Airbrushing – Airbrushing is fast with controlled results. It can help even out tan lines and you get a perfect even tan every time. The color will deepen for the few hours after it is applied but it only lasts 7-10 days. For the bride that wants to get a quick tan Jessica recommends getting the airbrushed tan. Make sure that you exfoliate your skin the few days before your appointment and come in two days before your wedding. Have a big wedding party? Have an airbrush party. The Blub offers a discount for groups of ten or more. If you’re going on vacation somewhere sunny and warm and are concerned about having a good base tan so that you don’t burn and spent the rest of your honeymoon in the shade Jessica recommends starting tanning a month before your honeymoon. That allows you enough time to get your skin nice and bronzed before you leave and it won’t be in shock when you’re in a tiny bikini sipping drinks near the equator. The Bulb Tanning Salons are located at: 31920 Ryan Rd. in Warren, and at 3999 Centrerpoint Parkway Suite 111 in Pontiac. Check them out at http://www.thebulbtanning.com/ -Toni Cozad
