14KT's Golden Hour Soundtrack Review
When was the last time you were moved by just the overall production of an album? Well, this is that album! The Golden Hour Soundtrack is twenty tracks of heavenly, music bliss. Not a stranger to the beats, Kendall "14KT" Tucker hand crafts this album in a way that true music lovers can enjoy without lyrics. From the intro, "The Waiting Room," 14KT beautifully meshes that Detroit techno feel with a Hip Hop vibe that only J Dilla used to be able to provide. He takes the listener on an inspirational journey of pure euphoria and musical synesthesia. Golden Hour, in fact, builds like an actual movie - with a quality production for any emotion of a drama. Throughout the album, 14KT pays homage to his hometown with aptly titled song, "Ypsilanti," using the production to describe life where he's from. 14KT also pays homage to his Detroit counterparts with the track, "The D Light In You," sampling a couple of the city's artist in the song itself. Each track on The Golden Hour Soundtrack blends beautifully with the next, leaving nothing lost in translation, bolstering 14KT's skills crafting this album as a DJ as well. As you listen to this album, it's easy to see that 14KT is in fact a pupil of the Dilla Era. However, 14KT has definitely proven that he can hold his own and differentiate himself from the pact - sampling sounds and records that others from the Dilla Era wouldn't think of.After hours of repeated listening to The Golden Hour, there isn't one negative thing that could be said about it. Like a priceless bottle of Merlot, this album gets better with time. The Golden Hour Soundtrack has definitely inspired this journalist to get back to the root of his love for music - emceeing! This former emcee is going to dig out the microphone and blow the dust off of the mixer - as soon as I can stop listening to the album! The Golden Hour Soundtrack gets a PERFECT rating, something that's not so easy to give out. His album will be in stores October 14th. -Marcel Friday

His like a little known secret that's bound to explode and sacturate the airwaves and concert halls with his, as I like to call it my "FEEL GOOD" music.
