I'm Just Saying: Consider the Music BEFORE the Party
Posted: 12/16/2008

Are you planning guests for the holiday?  If so, don't let your music selection ruin your party!!

Fashion and music go together like 'gel and weave', so its important to stay current, stylish and appropriate this holiday season..

I just learned about the company www.audiostiles.com and thought about how I could have jacked up cool events through poor planning as it pertains to music.

I love hosting events, especially the designing, menu and cocktail selection but because its not my strength, the music gets left to the last minute and can ruin a great party.

Over the summer, we had some of our more conservative friends over for dinner and I didn't plan out the music.  All I know is that there was a down time in the conversation when Too Short's Blow the Whistle came blaring over the iPod iDock.  I was SO embarrassed and my first thought was to use Bobby's excuse and 'blame it on the dog' but just decided to try to over talk the music and hope it would skip ahead.  Although a perfect workout hit, it wasn't appropriate for a dinner party!

Check out www.audiostiles.com.  They take away the stress of creating a perfect holiday compilation (CD or iPod) by producing the ultimate music library tailored to your taste, for any occasion.  They say no to piracy so you don't have to worry about the police coming through and breaking up your junk.

If this blog can keep you from making similar mistakes, I have succeeded.
